Hospitality Veterans Oral Kelly, Asa Harris, and Justine Bragg to Spearhead Growth and Community Engagement at Tampa’s Landmark Hotel

TAMPA, Fla. (July 17th, 2026) – As Hotel Flor prepares to celebrate a century of hospitality in the heart of Tampa, the property is entering a new era of growth with the appointment of a dynamic executive leadership team. The new leadership includes Oral Kelly as General Manager, Asa Harris as Director of Sales and Marketing, and Justine Bragg as Director of Operations. Together, this team will oversee the strategic growth, community integration, and operational excellence of the nearly 100-year-old landmark.

General Manager Oral Kelly joins the property with an extensive background in hospitality management, tasked with overseeing the overall performance and strategic direction of the hotel. Kelly’s leadership arrives at a pivotal moment as the property focuses on elevating its position as a premier destination for both global travelers and the local community.

“In many ways, the property chose me,” said Kelly, “It was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to help shape history while honoring and preserving it.” A veteran leader who built his career from the ground up, Kelly previously led Food & Beverage at premier destinations such as the Hanover Inn at Dartmouth College and Mountain View Grand Resort & Spa. His vision for the next year is centered on delivering “unreasonable hospitality” that exceeds expectations while honoring the building’s 1920s heritage.

When asked about the property’s future, Kelly points to the potential of the 20th floor: “It represents the greatest opportunity on the property to create something truly special; a must-experience destination in the city, whether that evolves into a unique lodging concept or a private club.”

Leading the hotel’s growth and brand presence is Asa Harris, the new Director of Sales and Marketing. A hospitality veteran who grew up in the industry, Harris was drawn to Hotel Flor by its unique history and the palpable passion of its team. “I chose Hotel Flor because of the history, the story of the hotel, and most importantly, the people,” said Harris, “The vision for Hotel Flor is to become a local staple and a household name. A place where people plan their engagements, babymoons, weekend getaways, and staycations. We want to be known as the place to be; where every guest leaves with a memorable story about their experience at Hotel Flor.”

Complementing the sales and marketing efforts, Justine Bragg steps in as Director of Operations to ensure a seamless guest experience across all property touchpoints. From managing the front-of-house to overseeing the hotel’s signature culinary outlets, The Dan and Cass Street Coffee Co., Bragg is dedicated to honoring the property’s history while modernizing the guest journey. “What makes Hotel Flor stand out from other downtown Tampa hotels is the charm and the historical piece to this property, it just really sets us apart and makes us special,” said Bragg, “Our 2026 vision for the hotel is really being centered into the community, bringing in groups, and turning ourselves into the destination to be. We want to be the place to be for weddings, events, galas; for locals and for transient travelers.”

The leadership team shares a deep appreciation for the property’s physical “heartbeat.” Speaking on her favorite location, Harris noted, “The lobby. I love walking through and seeing guests, shaking hands, and hearing how their stay is going.” Bragg echoed this sentiment, stating, “I love watching guests’ faces when they first walk in and experience that sense of discovery. The building itself tells a story, and that’s what makes working here so special.”

Under this new executive team, Hotel Flor is expanding its community-focused programming, including popular initiatives like Industry Night Mondays, Wine Wednesdays at The Dan, Sunday Brunches, a centennial series with Historic Happy Hours, and recently added live music features. As the property approaches its 100th year, the leadership of Kelly, Harris, and Bragg promises to preserve the hotel’s storied past while creating a vibrant future for the next generation of guests.
