A Mano Italian Ristorante Brings New Executive Chef and Old-World Italian Cuisine to the Heart of St. Petersburg
Tampa Bay, FLA (February 8, 2022) – Formally Gigi’s, ‘A Mano Italian Ristorante’ is open for business featuring Utica, NY inspired cuisine, pastas, thin crust pizza, a wine-forward happy hour, and a decadent dessert program.
The restaurant was purchased by Josh Cameron, Principal of Crafty Hospitality an organization that owns & operates ‘The Oyster Bar’ – one of the longest-serving restaurants in downtown St. Petersburg, the ‘Crafty Squirrel’ a high volume sports bar, ‘Our Bar’ a local pub, and ‘Where’s Jubes’, an Australian Brewpub opening this Spring. “Warm hospitality and a feeling of familiarity for our guests is important to us,” says Cameron. “With Gigi’s as such a popular spot, we’re grateful for the positive response we’re receiving from guests.”
Executive Chef Daniel Rabice hails from Utica, NY where he’s perfected his style is a fusion of Old-World style Italian cuisine with a modern Utica-inspired flair you won’t find in most Italian restaurants. He has worked alongside some of the finest chefs in Upstate New York, including the late Joe Morelle and Matt Barone, before relocating to St. Petersburg.
At A Mano Italian Ristorante, Chef Rabice strives to share some time-honored family traditions with your family like those of his family — traditions that date back to a time when meals were made from ingredients grown in a family’s own backyard, when everything was fresh and organic, and cooked with the passion & love that Nonna showed when cooking for her grandchildren. A couple dishes Chef Rabice brought from Utica are Chicken Riggies and Rigatoni Carmine Rabice.
