Holiday Pop-Up Bar to Host a Dinner Buffet with the Grinch, Free Family Photo Ops, and More
Tampa Bay, FLA (December 9, 2018) – This holiday season, The Godfrey Hotel & Cabanas Tampa presents: “Winterland” and family dinner with the Grinch. On December 15th, and 22nd, from 5:00pm – 9:00pm, Winterland will feature Family Photo & Dinner with the Grinch, where families can enjoy a dinner buffet with an exclusive holiday menu, cookie decorating station for kids, hot chocolate and eggnog bar, a giant snowman, and free family photo ops with the Grinch. Admission into Winterland will be free to the public on weekdays with the exception of private events and is family-friendly until 10pm, and after 10pm is 21 and up holiday fun seven days a week. Winterland is also available for holiday party rental; guests can choose to host holiday parties in the resort’s private spaces located inside Winterland. Guest lists and private areas are available as an “after holiday party” destination option, as well.
Ugly Sweaters & Toys for Kids
DATE: December 14th, 2018 from 5:00pm – 9:00pm
DETAILS: An ugly sweater party benefiting a local families, featuring a lighting of Winterland ceremony at 6:00pm, tour of Winterland and the Grinch’s Cave, a hot chocolate and eggnog bar, and 12 Cocktails of Christmas. Guests are encouraged to dress in ugly sweaters and holiday attire for photo ops in holiday-themed Instagramable booths. NYE Celebration Hosted by Mario Lopez

DETAILS: The Godfrey Hotel & Cabanas Tampa will also be hosting a NYE celebration with Mario Lopez. The resort will ring in the new year with live DJs and entertainment, party favors, and a champagne toast at midnight alongside a special, private firework display on two barges. Matthew has used his originality and formula for success to create top food and beverage venues across the United States including Godfrey Hotel Chicago’s #1 rooftop and in 2017 named #1 Lounge of America (NCB Magazine). He has won best event in the USA twice for a total of three awards by national magazine, NCB Magazine) during the NCB Awards held in Las Vegas annually. From concept/creation, branding to training and culture his leadership has successfully opened highly profitable F&B venues for his company.
During McCahill’s impressive 28-year career, he has worked alongside top chefs/restaurateurs including Emeril Lagasse, Wolfgang Puck, and Nick Nicholas in fine dining restaurants and hotels from Las Vegas and Los Angeles to Chicago. He has led all of his operations to great revenues and amazing profits as well as top accolades all along the way. His experience includes key management roles at Mondrian Hotel-Asia De Cuba and SBE Group’s Prey Supper Club/Hyde/Lobby in L.A., to Bella Lounge and Restaurant in Chicago. He also served as managing partner at Soiree/Prost before joining the Sax Hotel’s Crimson Lounge as general manager and then the F&B Director for Dana Hotel and Spa in Chicago. He studied hotel restaurant management from Honolulu Business College where he earned his degree, and currently calls Chicago home. Matthew has all the working knowledge needed to remain one of the top F&B Directors in the industry.
