Boulevard Burgers & Tap House Releases “The Pretzilla” for Charity
St. Pete Beach Restaurant to Donate Proceeds for Child Abuse Awareness Month
TAMPA BAY, FLA (April 4th, 2017) – In honor of National Child Abuse Awareness Month, Boulevard Burgers & Tap House has teamed up with Angels Against Abuse to raise funds for the organization’s local foster care system. “The Pretzilla Burger” an 8 ounce Boulevard Burger piled high with melty pepper jack cheese, crispy fried jalapeno poppers, and drizzled in a spicy chipotle sauce, all wrapped into a soft pretzel bun. But the best part? One dollar for every burger sold this April will go straight to the charity.

The first week of May, the restaurant will present the charity with a check, and they’re asking for the public’s help in increasing those numbers.
“We’re looking forward to helping out Angels Against Abuse in any way we can. The burger is delicious and we’re already getting a lot of positive feedback, so we foresee the fundraiser being a success. We also love kids and families, so we hope this effort will reinforce that message” says Charles Marco, Owner of Boulevard Burgers.
Boulevard Burgers & Tap House, founded in 2014, is a local hot-spot on Gulf Boulevard across from Tampa Bay’s popular beaches. The restaurant offers big burgers, fresh seafood, and 15 crafts on draft. Boulevard Burgers also has different themed days throughout the week like “Kids Eat Free Wednesdays”, “Yappy Hour” on Saturdays, and “Jazz Brunch” on Sundays, where customers can enjoy a live jazz band and free mimosas with their order.
Boulevard Burgers has also recently launched their newest Tuesday special, Trivia Tuesdays with MC Chris Fisher. Owner Charles Marco and friend Chris Fisher collaborated to put a fun spin on typical trivia. After every round, the team in the lead gets a free round of beer. Then to finish the night off, the 3 top teams receive a $10, $15, and $25 gift card to Boulevard Burgers & Tap House!
Marco has owned many restaurants in New York, as well as St. Petersburg’s Fortunato’s On Central and the Local 662. Additionally, he’s purchased the De’Lites Ice Cream shop next door to Boulevard Burgers with plans to introduce a completely new concept to Gulf Boulevard and St. Pete Beach.
Boulevard Burgers & Tap House is open for lunch and dinner 7 days a week and features a Sunday Jazz Brunch starting at 9am. Each guest with an entree is treated to a complementary mimosa. The restaurant also features happy hour every day from 4 – 7, 15 local crafts on draft, and live music on the weekends. The Boulevard is pet-friendly, offering a Yappy Hour every Saturday afternoon. Private dining is also available in the nautically acquainted dining room.
ABOUT ANGELS AGAINST ABUSE: Angels Against Abuse (“Angels”) was created by a small group of visionaries who saw a need to provide assistance to children beyond the scope of basic services covered by the foster care system. Most often, these children are removed forcibly from their homes due to abuse, and they are placed in the care of agency housing or private foster homes. The experience is traumatic, and the children often leave with nothing but the clothes on their backs. The Angels team set out to help these kids by providing goods and services not covered by the foster care system; helping to reduce the trauma of home removal; trying to create as many traditional childhood experiences for these children living in non-traditional conditions; and working with children and families to stop the cycle of abuse.
