St. Petersburg Advertising Agency Evolve & Co, Hosts Digital Fundraiser to Help Kids in Need with School Supplies
Fundraiser to Benefit Maximo Elementary, a South St. Petersburg Institution with 65 or More Homeless Children in Attendance
Tampa Bay, FLA (August 20th, 2024) – Tampa Bay based advertising agency, Evolve & Co, is raising funds to benefit Maximo Elementary School in South St. Petersburg.
In 2023, ABC Action News reported that over 65 children at that school were homeless, some even living out of a car. The news coverage inspired Evolve & Co President Lisa Williams to contact the school and to learn how the agency could help.
“We are in dire need of a two-white, three-ring binder with a clear insert on the front, seat pockets for scholar chairs (blue), Clorox wipes, Lysol spray, and breakfast bars,” stated a representative from Maximo Elementary School.
“When I read that 65 of these children don’t have homes or live in cars, I felt a strong sense of responsibility to provide support for their academic goals and through the platforms within the agency, we can provide a larger impact”, says Lisa Williams, President of Evolve & Co. “Personally, I grew up in a single parent household and it was through the generosity of good people that my mother was able to give my siblings and I the resources we needed to shine as kids. If we can give these kids the same resources as their peers, we’re giving them a chance to grow into a new future.”
Evolve & Co delivered the first round of school supplies to Maximo Elementary early August and plans to deliver another round once more donations come in.
