Proceeds Benefit Local Charities Directions for Living and Kimberly Home
Tampa Bay, FLA (April 21st, 2023) – The St. Pete Fools Social Club is hosting the third annual charity golf tournament at Bardmoor Golf and Tennis Club on Sunday, April 30th, benefitting various charity organizations in the Tampa Bay area. The main charity benefactors this year will be Directions For Living and The Kimberly Home. The scramble format tourney will include grand prizes for hole-in-one, longest drive, and closest to the hole, complimentary lunch, and a banquet dinner at game’s end.
The St. Pete Fools are still looking for sponsors to provide food, competition prizes, and raffle prizes. The Fools would like to thank their current sponsors Grazzi and M2 Promotions for their support and generous donations.

We interviewed April Lott, the President and CEO of Directions for Living to learn more about the charity and how the St. Pete Fools are helping the organization.
Can you tell us about Directions for Living? Directions for Living is a community mental health center that provides a variety of mental health services with tremendous wrap around support. DFL has been a trusted trauma informed mental health, substance misuse, homeless services, and child welfare provider in Pinellas County for 42 years.
Who do you help and how? Directions for Living serves children to age 18, adults and families who have been impacted by trauma, mental illness or mental health conditions including suicide ideation, as well as, homelessness or child welfare involvement. DFL serves anyone and everyone who needs our services.
How are the St. Pete Fools helping the organization? DFL is missioned to serve anyone and everyone who needs our services regardless of their ability to pay. The financial support of the St. Pete Fools allows us to keep that promise. The St. Pete Fools financial contribution will allow us to provide emergency shelter to homeless families, food, supplies, mental health counseling including psychiatric medication management, and other lifesaving, and life changing support to children, adults and families in need of support.
What impact will the donation make? The funds will make a lifesaving and a life changing impact on children, adults, and families who otherwise could not afford to get the services and support they need to live a stable life free of crisis resulting from mental illness, substance misuse, homelessness or abuse. DFL is grateful to have been introduced to Tony and this amazing group of men (and women) who are having fun and making a significant difference in the lives of so many in our community.
